COVID-19 Update – December 13, 2021
Please see the message from Sport Nova Scotia below in regards to changes in Public Health regulations which impact sport in the province:
Today the Provincial government announced they would be making changes to the Nova Scotia Public Health Regulations that impact the Nova Scotia Sport Guidelines. These changes will come into effect as of 9:00 am Friday December 17, 2021 and will remain in place until reviewed in January 2022.
Gathering Limits:
– gathering limits of 50 per cent of capacity to a maximum of 150 people indoors and 250 outdoors apply for sports events that are hosted by a recognized business or organization.
Participant Limits:
-a limit of 60 participants indoors and outdoors applies to sports practices, games, and regular league play; tournaments are not allowed; physical distance is not required, and masks are recommended when possible indoors and outdoors.
Travel for Sport Limitations still in place:
– children age 11 and younger continue to be restricted from entering Nova Scotia to participate in sports and from participating in them outside Nova Scotia.
There is no change in the requirement for proof of full vaccination for discretionary activities. It is still required for attendees and volunteers, even in places where gathering limits and physical distance will apply.
