Club Locker is the official platform used by Squash Nova Scotia to manage squash across the province. Through Club Locker, players can register for Squash NS memberships, sign up for tournaments and leagues, book courts (at participating facilities), and track their match results, rankings, and player ratings. It also provides live scoring and up-to-date event information. Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned competitor, Club Locker is your hub for staying connected to the Nova Scotia squash community. Basics of Club Locker

Player Ratings and Rankings:

In Club Locker (CL), ratings and rankings serve different but complementary purposes to help players, coaches, and organizers assess skill levels and track performance.

Ratings are a numerical measure of a player’s actual playing strength—think of it as a squash “skill score.” This number (e.g., 4.2) is calculated using a dynamic algorithm that takes into account your match results, the rating of your opponents, and how close the matches were. Your rating is updated after each scored match you play and record in CL, this can include league, and tournament matches.

Because it’s purely skill-based, your rating isn’t limited by gender, age, or division—it’s a flexible measure used to seed players fairly and place them in the right divisions for leagues and tournaments. When you first start playing, your rating will be provisional until you’ve played enough matches against other rated players.

To find your rating, simply log into your Club Locker account and go to your player profile.

Rankings, on the other hand, reflect how you’ve performed in specific competitions over time. They are usually based on points earned in sanctioned Squash Nova Scotia events and are divided by categories such as Men’s A, Women’s B, Junior U17, etc. Rankings show where you stand compared to others in your division and/or province and are useful for tracking progress over a season or qualifying for certain events.

To view rankings, click on the “Rankings” tab in the Club Locker menu. From there, you can filter by province, gender, age group, or division.

SNS Events:

To view current Squash Nova Scotia events, visit the “Events” tab in Club Locker.
There, you’ll find a list of sanctioned tournaments, leagues, and tryouts for the season. Clicking on any event will take you directly to its Club Locker page for full details and registration.

Club Affiliations:

Your club affiliation is the squash facility or organization you are associated with, such as a university team, community squash club, or gym that hosts squash activities. While affiliating with a club isn’t mandatory, it’s recommended. It helps clubs manage their members, organize leagues and ladders, and ensure players are properly represented in team-based events or rankings. For example, if your club hosts a ladder or league through Club Locker, being affiliated allows you to join and be visible to other members.

You can select your club during the membership sign-up process, or update it anytime through your profile settings. Just log in, go to your profile, click “Edit Profile”, select your home club from the dropdown menu and save changes. Your club affiliation may take some time to appear, as some clubs may need to approve your affiliation request before it is complete.
