SNS Active Clubs

Below lists and describes active SNS club affiliates located that provide frequent squash programming run by the squash club. Please contact the club directly for further information about membership and more programming details. 

 

Dalhousie Squash Club (DSC) – Halifax, NS

If you’re looking for a fun way to get in shape and play some competitive squash the Dalhousie Squash Club (DSC) is always accepting new members! The DSC is a vibrant student led University sports club that operates out of Dalhousie University’s Dalplex Recreational Facility. The Dalplex has 4 regulation size singles squash courts and 1 convertible squash/racquetball court. We welcome all players (Dalhousie student or not) to come play with the DSU community.

The DSC offers a variety of programs for experienced and novice players including squash leagues, ladders, tournaments, lessons, clinics and our popular drop-in nights. The DSC Drop-In Nights are our most popular program and is great way to meet the community and participate in causal game play. These drop-in nights are low commitment (come and go as you please) and equipment is available for borrow for new players to learn the game.

Every Sunday 4pm- 6pm during September-April, or Sunday 3pm – 5pm during May-August

SMUfit Squash Club – Halifax, NS

Saint Mary’s University’s SMUfit squash club offers a comprehensive range of squash activities tailored to various skill levels and interests. SMUfit has 4 beautiful regulation sized glass back squash courts located in the Homburg Center for Health and Wellness. SMU programming is open to all community members, including student and non-student players with and without SMU memberships (entrance into the facility without a membership will require purchasing a day pass).

Kings County Squash Club (KCSC) – Kentville, NS

Kings County Squash Club is a registered Not-For-Profit, private club located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. Our facility, which rents space in the Credit Union Rec Centre in Kentville, has been in operation for almost 20 years. The KCSC boasts two state-of-the-art squash courts as well as 2 change rooms, a small kitchenette, table tennis, free weights and bikes, providing a comfortable and convenient environment for players of all levels. Members have access to an online court booking system through Club Locker and a 24-hour member-only punch code door access. As of Jan 2025, the KCSC has 73 active members and a variety of junior and women’s programming, see the Programming tab for more information. 

KCSC Membership Details: 

Yearly Adult Membership – $499 per year 

Monthly Adult Membership – $43.50 per month  

Yearly Post Secondary Student Membership – $201.25 per year  

Yearly Junior Membership $201.25 per year 

Children 12 and under are free if parent is a member

Cole Harbor Place Squash Club (CHP) – Dartmouth, NS

The Cole Harbor Squash Club operates out of the Cole Harbor Place Sports Complex in Dartmouth. The complex has 2 singles glass back squash courts. Squash courts can be booked outside of the Cole Harbor Squash Club HERE. 

 Wednesday Night League: 

When – Occurs every Wednesday Night (Jan 22 – April 30) from 6pm-8pm. 

Pricing – Cole Habor Place Members play for Free, Non-members must purchase a for a day pass to participate 

Registration – is required through the HRM Rec, register HERE. Sign into your HRM myRec account, select drop in timetable, choose Cole Harbour Place as the rec centre (not the one under HRM), select a Wednesday on the calendar and choose CHP Wednesday Night Squash League from the drop-down menu and register.

Cape Breton Squash Club – Sydney, NS

Sydney Squash Club is a welcoming, community-focused group that does not require membership registration or fees. The club operates out of a single court located at the YMCA on Charlotte Street in Sydney. Any YMCA member or Day pass holder is welcome to book the court and enjoy a game. The Cape Breton Squash Club runs squash programming from September 1st to June 30th.

Adult play:

Every Wednesday there is Learn to Play (ages 10+) from 4:45 pm – 5:30 pm

Squash 57:

Every Wednesday from 3:15pm – 4pm

Due to limited court availability, Sydney Squash Club does not offer drop-in nights or league play. However, anyone interested in setting up casual games or matches is encouraged to reach out to club members. The club is always happy to connect players and support a love for the sport at all skill levels.

Acadia Squash Club – Wolfville, NS

The Acadia Squash Club is a student-run organization based out of Acadia University, but programming is held at the Kentville King’s County Squash Club. The Club only operates during the universities Fall and Winter terms (September to April) and they welcome experienced or new players. Membership is limited to Acadia University students.

Drop-In Night:

Only held from September 1st to April 30th

For beginners and new players, every Thursday 6pm – 7:30pm

For experienced players,  every Thursday 7:30pm – 9pm
