Attention Referees

Please see the attached for an update on the WSF/PSA interpretation of the rules by WSF Referee Wayne R Smith at the referee symposium around the Pan AM Junior Championships. Key issues being guidance on dealing with player behaviour – blocking, interference and direct access, freedom to hit, unfair use of the body, to prevent players from attempting to earn points by interfering with their opponent’s ability to play the ball or trying to create interference rather than attempting to play the ball.

You’re Invited to the Squash NS AGM on 12 June 2019

I am pleased to invite you to the Squash NS Annual General Meeting which will be held in room 211 of the Homburg Centre at SMU, 920 Tower Road, Halifax, NS beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Last Chance to Sign up for the NS Open

Although Registration is closed, Late registration remains open until Monday March 25th at noon ADT. The tournament takes  place between 28-31 March 2019 at SMUFit.  To register go to https://novascotia.clublocker.com/login and log in to your account, click on the tournaments tab and select the Nova Scotia Open, and click sign up.  Remember that to register you need to be a competitive member of Squash NS, which you can purchase from the sign up page.  If you are from out of province, and are asked for membership, please select the no-fee Competitive- Out of province option and then complete your registration.  People interested in sponsoring the tournament can do so from the sign-up page.

People interested in improving their referee credentials can do so at the tournament. Please contact us to get included.
