Registration open for Fall 2023 Junior Development with Coach Josh Rudolph

Josh Rudolph is organizing a Junior Development program this fall. He heads the junior squash programming in Nova Scotia, including hosting clinics at his home club and coaching Team Nova Scotia at the most recent Canada Winter Games. Josh was recognized for his efforts by Squash Canada with an award this year.

The development program will be held at SMUfit. All registered players must be a member of Squash Nova Scotia and either have a SMU membership or pay a day pass fee. The intent is to provide a minimm of 2 sessions per week for each athlete.

Sign up for the Junior Squash League!

SMUFit Junior Squash League is inviting players to play in the Fall Session 2023 by registering on Club Locker.

The session starts September 10, 2023.  The League will run for 13 weeks of regular season play, wrapping up the week of Dec 10th.

Division format and size will be established by the league administrators once registration is closed.

Depending on numbers there may be some weeks you will not play.

Play will be on Sunday afternoons from 1-3pm.

Community Squash Instructor Course – September 17

Squash Nova Scotia is pleased to host another Community Squash Instructor Course on September 17th at King’s County Squash Club in Kentville.

The Community Squash Instructor Course and the Multi-sport modules (NCCP Make Ethical Decisions course & NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport eLearning) provide all the training necessary to help introduce the fundamentals of squash to beginners at all ages. By becoming a ‘Trained Community Squash Instructor’ you may assist Certified Coaches in your club or local community (ie. school teams, grassroots programming, beginner clinics etc.).

This course is geared towards those who are club volunteers, recreational players, teachers, older juniors or parents who do not coach full time but would like to learn the basic skills of squash instruction at the grassroots level.

KCSC Rust Remover – Sept 29-Oct 1

Welcome to the Kings County Squash Club Rust Remover! We are excited to get back on the courts and start playing.

The tournament will run from Friday, September 29th to Sunday, October 1st. Players are guaranteed 3 matches if registration numbers allow.  Out of town players first matches will be scheduled 6pm or later on Friday.

Tournament Ball – Dunlop DY. Dunlop is the Official Ball of Squash Nova Scotia.

There will be a social Saturday night at Paddys Pub in Wolfville. Details to follow!
