Youth Squash with Sabeel Muslim Youth & Community Centre

Squash NS is partnering with Sabeel Muslim Youth & Community Centre to offer a 6-week intro to squash program for youth ages 10+ from the Muslim newcomer community.

The program will run on Sunday afternoons at SMU, beginning April 14th. All equipment will be provided and there will be no cost to participants.

Community Squash Instructor Course – April 6, 2024

Squash Nova Scotia is pleased to announce a free Community Squash Instructor Course on Saturday, April 6th, at Cole Harbour Place!

The Community Squash Instructor Course is geared towards those who are club volunteers, recreational players, teachers, older juniors or parents who do not coach full time but would like to learn the basic skills of squash instruction at the grassroots level. By becoming a ‘Trained Community Squash Instructor’ you may assist Certified Coaches in your club or local community (ie. school teams, grassroots programming, beginner clinics etc.).

Para Squash 57

Squash NS is piloting a Para Squash 57 program at Cole Harbour Place this spring, the very first para squash program in Nova Scotia and one of the first in the country!

We are organizing two free “try-it” sessions on April 8th and April 15th at Cole Harbour Place – all equipment provided. For those interested in continuing, we are offering a free 4-week program April 22nd – May 13th for participants to develop their Squash 57 skills.

All sessions will run 7-8pm, have no cost to participate, and are open to anyone living with a physical disability.

Squash Nova Scotia is welcoming nominations for the 2024 Nova Scotia Support4Sport Awards. Award winners will be celebrated at the annual Support4Sport Awards banquet hosted by Sport Nova Scotia at the Halifax Convention Centre.

Referee Clinic – March 18, 2024

Local Nova Scotia referees Lee Kirby, Thomas Hori, and Elvira Mitraka are pleased to facilitate a referee clinic on March 18, 2024, from 7-8pm at SMUfit. The aim of this course is to support and prepare participants for the online Squash Canada Club Level Referee examination. The clinic will be delivered at the introductory level but is open to all.
